VirusX                    virus detection/vaccination program

Description from Fish Disk No. 287:
A boot sector virus check program that runs in the background
and automatically checks all inserted disks for a nonstandard
boot sector. Such disks can optionally have their boot sector
rewritten  to remove the virus.  This version also checks for
the  Byte-Bandit  strain, and  for a couple of additional new
strains. Features a test for the new IRQ virus, among others,
and a new "Kill Virus" utility.  Includes a check for the new
Xeno virus. Includes source and KillVirus v2.1

KillVirus v2.1                   non-boot block virus remover

Description from KillVirus Docs:
KV will detect and remove  three non-boot block  viruses, the
IRQ Ver 41.0 the Lamer Exterminator and the Bundesgrenzschutz
Sektion 9  (BGS) virus.   KV will also detect and disable the
XENO virus in  executable files.  Lamer virus will be removed
from memory and any infected disks in the drives.

Note also that there is a problem with the way this version of
VirusX removes the Revenge of the Lamer virus from RAM.It will
remove it all right,  but the machine will probably crash, and
you will probably  have to  power down to get  things  back to
normal               ...Steve
